Final Considerations On Polling Day – Essential Matters

The first question you need to ask yourself if you planning not to vote or to vote NO is what sort of country in which you wish to live?

You can live in a country that gets governed by a government it votes for about a third of the time or a country which always gets the government for which it votes. Quite simple that one.

In my memory (I’m 66) Scotland has always been a country with a social conscience, wanting to look after the sick, the disabled, the underprivileged and protect the old and infirm. People in need have always been a priority among the majority of Scottish politicians of all parties. It seems to be in the Scottish nature. We all know that these principles are currently being undermined by a Westminster government which prefers to spend money on English high speed rail lines and Trident while it sends Scottish citizens to the food banks and imposes a bedroom tax on disabled people whose needs mean that they cannot sleep in the same room as their married partners.  The Scottish Government has mitigated this by stealing money from other parts of their Westminster hand-out to compensate those people so that they don’t have to have all the anxiety of moving away from their friends to a smaller property. The End Is Nigh!

If there are still NO supporters who don’t believe the lies and deceit Westminster is pumping out about Scottish independence then I hope they will read this item. I appeal to them to do so before they cast their vote in the wrong direction on Thursday.

Scotland has been cheated for the last forty years and a vote for NO means we will continue to be cheated for the next fifty years.

Think about it. Beware of rhetoric. Read, read, read all you can on the subject. Not the threats of what Independence will destroy, but the awful risks we are taking by continuing to trust the union. Don’t be fooled by Cameron’s crocodile tears. He is in fear of his job as the prime minister who lost the Scottish cash cow! A black gold Aberdeen Angus!

Here it is.

One Hundred Businesses Tell You To Vote No – Don’t You Wonder Why?

This is such an easy question to answer. Put yourself in their shoes. You would then either own your own business or would report to your shareholders.  You are likely to have a salary of up to hundreds of thousands of pounds and might even get million pound plus bonuses. You would employ an army of accountants to cheat the rest of the population out of their rightful share of your tax. No wonder you are against Independence because you are then likely to have left of middle governments who will ensure you pay your share of taxes. It’s a no brainer for them to be against Independence. Obvious.

Have they frightened you into voting “no”? Read some of the positives about Scottish Independence below:

Experts agree that Scotland is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Here’s what just some of them say:

“Even excluding North Sea output and calculating per capita GDP only by looking at onshore income, Scotland would qualify for our highest economic assessment,” said Standard and Poor’s Credit Rating Agency.

“Assuming a geographical allocation of North Sea oil and gas production, the Scottish economy would rank among the top 50 in the world by size of GDP, and would be relatively wealthy, richer than the rest of the UK and in the top 20 countries globally in terms of GDP per head,” said the Financial Times on 2nd February 2014.

“By international standards Scotland is a wealthy and productive country. There is no doubt that Scotland has the potential to be a successful independent nation,” said the Fiscal Commission Working Group.
